Applicable to trans-ring interconnection and Mesh networking, ROADM offers photonic cross connection and flexible photonic-layer scheduling. It also supports 2-10-degree agile lambda-level scheduling. OTN-based centralized electrical cross-connect platform and distributed electrical cross-connect platform can provide ODU0/1/2 based cross-connect scheduling, perform flexible scheduling of GE/2.5G/10G services, and implement network traffic aggregation and grooming. Its full use of wavelength channel results in higher wavelength utilization rate. L2 switching platform supports bandwidth convergence of 24 GE to one 10GE, as well as L2 switching of VLAN, QinQ, carrying data services more effectively.
