Product Description The H801MCUD1 board is a Mini Control Unit Board. It is the core of the system control and service switching and aggregation. The H801MCUD1 board can also function as the management and control core of the integrated network management system (NMS). It communicates with service boards about the key management and control information through the master/slave serial port and inband GE/10GE channel. In this manner, the H801MCUD1 board configures, manages, and controls the device, and also implements the simple route protocol functions. Overview The H801MCUD1 board supports the following functions: System control and management unit Local and remote maintenance Active/standby switchover Load sharing Synchronous Ethernet GE or 10GE channel to the service board Environmental monitoring parameters Seven inputs of alarm digital parameters and one output of alarm digital parameters Temperature reading and high-temperature alarm Fan tray monitoring and management Two SFP+ 10GE ports and two SFP GE ports for upstream transmission or cascading One input of BITS clock signals and one output of BITS clock signals One input of 1PPS+TOD time signals and one output of 1PPS+TOD time signals Stratum-3 clock Figure 1 shows the external connections of the H801MCUD1 board. Figure 1 External connections of the H801MCUD1 board Working Principle Figure 2 illustrates the working principle of the H801MCUD1 board. Figure 2 Working principle of the H801MCUD1 board The basic working principles of the H801MCUD1 board are as follows: The control module manages the entire board and the service boards. The logical module achieves the logical control and stratum-3 clock functions. The power module supplies power to other functional modules of the board. The clock module provides clock signals for other functional modules of the board. The switching module provides the GE port and the 10GE port to switch and aggregate services at Layer 2 or Layer 3. Providing two GE/10GE ports or two GE ports for upstream transmission of the upstream port on the front panel Providing two GE/10GE ports for implementing GE/10GE switching on each service board Front Panel Table 1 describes the front panel of the H801MCUD1 board. Table 1 Front panel of the H801MCUD1 board RUN ALM: running status indicator Green: blinks every 1s The board functions properly. Red: blinks every 0.25s The board is starting up. Orange: on for 0.25s and off for 0.25s repeatedly A high-temperature alarm is generated. Red: on The board is faulty. ACT: active indicator Green: on The board is in the active state in the active/standby or load sharing mode. Off The board works as a standby board in the active/standby mode. Green: on for 0.1s and off for 0.1s repeatedly The board works as a standby board in the load sharing mode. LINK/ACT: link/data status indicator Green: on A connection is being set up on the port. Green: blinking Data is being transmitted. Off No connection is set up or no data is transmitted on the port. CAUTION: RESET: This button is used to reset the board manually. Resetting the board interrupts the services. Hence, exercise caution when using the reset button.
